Upgrading your electric flyswatter

In the stores you can buy those electric flyswatters which are shaped like tennisrackets. The do work but the electric shocks are not that strong. So the fly or musquito will not be dead in once. You can hack the thing to make it more powerful. Its really easy. Here is a howto


















First, open it. Like shown in the photo

















Second, search for the resistor. Search for the beige one with the blue-colored stripe. This is the10M Ohm Resistor.

















Cut its metal leg. and bend the resistor to  one side or remove it completely.

















Put the cap back on. And you have a much more powerful  device to catch all the annoying flies, mosquitoes and other bugs.

Be careful because for 30 seconds after pressing the button, there will be still power on the racket, so do not touch the metal.
