Happy Easter

Easter, to celebrate that spring has started, well  it's still winter, there was some snow last Friday night, but sitting inside, watching the sun feels somewhat like spring. Yesterday I cooked a delicious Easter diner. tonight  i will enjoy the gourmet. Gourmetten is a Dutch tradition. You and your  friends or family sit around the table with in the middle the grill plate. You can put ingredients  like meat and vegetables on the plate or in your own little pan to make your own little dishes.

King Winter has arrived

After a some winter months that looked and felt like autumn with a lot of rain and high temperatures even on Christmas, King winter has arrived on Monday. At daytime temperatures do not reach the above zero point. So it is freezing all day and night. At night minus 10. It will probably getting colder. I like the winter. I also do like the snow and ice and it looks so white an bright outside because the sun is shining. It looks like a real winter wonderland. All to do now is dress for this winter temperatures since here in Holland we are not quite used to weather like this.

It's a piece of ice

So clear and quite thick and probably the last piece of ice in 2012(at last in the Netherlands). That's because  the temperatures are above zero again at day and night time. And the weatherman said it's not going to freeze again this year.
