Christmas 2012

This  Christmas did not really got any Christmas weather it's more like autumn. But hey you have to make the fun yourself.  On Christmas eve, I've made a Christmas diner for one:
steak with bacon, mustard sauce, fresh mad oven chips and salad

On the second day of Christmas, my sister and nephew came over to  celebrate Christmas. We ate gourmet. That's what is  a big tradition in Holland because almost every family has  a gourmet or fondue at christmas.

It's a piece of ice

So clear and quite thick and probably the last piece of ice in 2012(at last in the Netherlands). That's because  the temperatures are above zero again at day and night time. And the weatherman said it's not going to freeze again this year.

This weather deserves a pie

Outside it is rainy, dark, cold, and also hail showers. Perfect weather o make a pie for dinner. Today I made this very Delicious cottage pie. The recipe of this pie is available  here: cottage pie. Already the second meal post of this weekend. That's because I miss cooking a lot since I am busy now with my Internship.  So the  two days I do have time to  cook, I do cook. I think autumn is one of the nicest moments to cook food. Wonderful pies that are rich in flavor  ingredients smell, wonderful  and keep you warm when cold with this type of weather.

Tasty chicken dish

Tonight i've made a very tasteful chickendish. I'found it on a Swedish website and you can find it here: Chicken with mustard sauce, tomatoes and basil. I did not used  fresh tomatoes but sundried tomatoes, which went very well with the rest of the dish.
