Action MAX make up nail polish review

Action is a store whit a big assortment in all kinds of stuff. They sell: food, clothes, paint,  thing you need at school, pots and pans, toys, cosmetics and much more.
Action has it's own make up brand named MAX make up. It's really cheap. For example Action has mascaras for 1 euro, lip gloss for 75 euro cents, eye shadow pallets which costs 1,69 euro. I bought four nail polishes because the colors where really nice and the polishes only costs 49 euro cents each. That's really cheap.
So now what I want to know, are these good nail polishes? Lets find out in  the review.

The four nail polishes

from left to right: Deep sea, Peach, Freso blue and Pink candy

I know it costs a lot of package material, the way the nail polishes are packed. But It's also a bit of an asset. You can know for sure nobody has used the product before you use it.

All of the four nail polishes are applied in two layers. I used a base coat. I did not use a top coat.

Deep sea
I really do like mint green. this is a really nice pastel mint green
color

Peach
A pink-soft orange peach color. looks a bit like a soft pink coral
color to me. A sunny summer color to me

Fresco blue
A really special blue color.  A sort of metallic blue but also not.
I absolutely like this one. this one also applied  as best.

Pink Candy
definitely it is candy pink. A bright pink color. It's a gorgeous
pink color. will wear this one really often i think

I'm absolutely satisfied with this nail polishes. The colors are bright and high in coverage. Also these polishes do not give stripes. For that little amount of 49 cents I will buy  buy more MAX make up nail polishes in the future.

Queensday Nails

Tomorrow The Netherlands will celebrate the last Queensday. After this year it will be Kingday. It's the abdication of Queen Beatrix. She says goodbye to the country and Prince Willem Alexander will become the King of The Netherlands. Time to celebrate it is. I already bought an orange shirt and  a little orange diadem with a gold colored crown. To complete the Queensday look I've painted my nails in typical dutch colors.

As base color i used an orange nail polish. The blue, red and white dots are created by using a toothpick(which now looks like the Dutch flag).

Essence Ready for boarding limited edition nail polish review

Essence has a new limited edition line, named: Ready for boarding. It contains: eye pencils, nail polish, eye shadow pallet, lip & cheek creme, a luggage label, hand & body wipes and a make up bag. Actually all you need when you go on holiday.

I did not buy the whole collection. I skipped the eye pencils because eye never use them. I also did not buy the luggage label.

From the nailpolishes I bought two bottles, the rest of them was already sold out. I've got 02 beauty on tour, which is a pink coral. The other one is 04 via airmail! a blue nailpolish. I also bought the peel off base coat 01 carry me home.

This is the base coat. It's created to peel it off, so you do not need any nail polishes remover to get your nail polish of your nails anymore. When I opened the bottle, saw the texture ans smelled it, it reminded me of the  glue we used at school when i was young. Maybe it is something like that, because you have to let it dry for ten minutes after you have put it on your nails.

The base coat getting dry.

The bottle. And as you can see on my nails. When the base coat is dry, it gets translucent

The coral one: 02 beauty on tour

The blue on: 04 via airmail!

Peeling of your nail polish while wearing the base coat, you can just peel it off. If it will not come off your fingers in once, just scratch with another nail on it.
Also, If this base coat is not available anymore, Essence included it in their new collection which will be available in September 2012.

Nailpolishes are 1,49euro each
Peel off base coat: 1,79 euro

The Wedding Cake Project

One of my hobbies is decorating  cakes for occasions. Last weekend I had the opportunity  to create a wedding cake for a wedding party I had on this weeks Monday.

The plan
First I made a plan and drawing of what i wanted to create
This is what the cake should going to look like. I went to the store and bought what I needed. Rolling fondant, color paste and something really awesome: edible sparkle powder.(I skipped the roses. Would be to much)

The process

making Royal icing

create pink fondant with color paste

the butterflies in the cardboard mall. They have to dry before putting them on the cake

strawberry marmalade on the cake,  on top there will be custard

The result

Because I was so busy with  putting those little balls an butterflies on the cake, I totally forgot to take pictures during the actual decorating.

There it is the result. the names are made of chocolate

sparkles on the wings of the butterflies

here you see the sparkles very clearly

In the cake box

Decorating a cake takes actually more time then just baking one but it is absolutely worth it. I'm really proud on myself and the cake.
